Jeez, I hate this song, period. Melodramatic tosh. It's the faux detail I can't stand "tied me to the kitchen chair" - what's that about the kitchen, piss off. I'd rather listen to Dr Alimontado doing 'Sitting in the Park'. Meh.
The John Cale one is actually not *too* bad though - I'd forgotten it until yesterday (it's on the bloody Shrek film that I have to watch with the kids).
The Buckley version is a bit whingy for my tastes.
