Facebook and Social Capital

Prof. Geras has a post on ther topic of 'Friends', number of.

I waste a lot of time on Farcebook and am astounded that people claim 453 friends.
The actual cost of maintaining them offline must be scary.
Mark Zuckerberg, the Farcebook creator, has 500+ friends according to his profile.
I would have thought that a computer geek would hardly get into the daylight ....
