A willingness, or an ability to 'blog offers an insight into the way that organisations can relate to people. Now, I thought that a lot of the argument for handing over public-sector roles to the voluntary sector was that they were less bureaucratic, more 'folksy', more people-like-you-and-me than the rigid old civil service.
As someone who does a good deal of work with both sectors, I can tell you that this presumption is often complete bollocks. Every day, the voluntary sector seems to be morphing into the Department for Administrative Affairs on stilts.
See 'how the voluntary sector blogs', here.
