Ruffled dreams

One night, about fifteen years ago, I went to sleep with the radio on (BBC World Service) and was awoken by a piece of music that was so striking that IÂ’ve never really had it out of my head for very long ever since. It was called ‘My Lord My Lord by a Transylvanian band called Musikas.

The other night, the same thing happened. This time, it was a track called Shrewd Woman from a CD called Journey to the Centre of an Egg by a Lebanese Oud player called Rabih Abou Khalil.

It's marvelous. I'd get a copy if I were you.
